Do you know the 500 Dalton Rule?

“500 Dalton Rule”

In dermatological science, the 500 Dalton Rule states that molecules with a molecular weight exceeding 500 Daltons cannot effectively penetrate the stratum corneum — the skin’s outermost barrier.

✅ Why does this rule matter?

“Great ingredients ≠ Great results”

Most peptides and active compounds exceed 500 Daltons in size. Without effective delivery systems, they cannot penetrate the skin barrier and remain on the surface.

✅ Solution ⇒ ALTUM® Peptide

To effectively deliver active ingredients larger than 500 Daltons, you need a system that ensures both penetration and stability.

ALTUM® Peptide was developed to address exactly this challenge — by chemically bonding peptides to spicules for targeted, stable delivery beneath the skin barrier.

⇒ This may represent a new direction in non-invasive delivery system.
